The International Obesity Conference reported this finding, which we probably knew anyway. This research was by the Peninsular Medical School in Devon.

The only pill which does work is Orlistat which you can get from the chemist if you are obese. This helps you to recognise when you are eating too much fat. A large proportion is not digested and goes straight through the body in a slippery manner. When it is no longer slippery and risky, you know your fat intake is getting more normal.

Glasgow Uni Professor of metabolic medicine, Naveed Sattar, said in the Herald today that slimming pills have a placebo effect so you can lose weight. But then you go back to your old unhealthy eating habits, and put the weight back on.

If you are gaining weight, or maintaining a weight higher than normal for you, then your food intake is higher than you need for your level of activity. There really is no alternative to eating less and jigging about more. But you can make these changes easier with hypnosis. Make those changes automatic, so you don't have to think about food all the time.
