How much does it cost?
Each session is £48.

How many sessions will I need?
That depends on the individual. But I aim to work quickly, so that after 3 to 5 sessions, you feel that you have made sufficient progress to continue on your own. Hypnotherapy is therefore excellent value. Quick, effective and safe.

How does it work?
Wherever your emotions are getting in the way of the authentic you, hypnotherapy helps.
When you are hypnotised, you are are able to accept suggestions for positive change, and afterwards you find it easier to carry them out. These suggestions are agreed with your hypnotherapist before hypnosis. Researchers at Imperial College, London, have found that there are significant changes in brain activity when you are hypnotised, particularly in the brain area dealing with emotions. While much remains unclear about the How of hypnosis, the Whats are more certain. There is plenty of research evidence to show that the benefits of hypnotherapy are long-lasting.Hypnosis quietens the fight or flight response which is aroused when you are anxious and so reduces anxiety, controls stress and builds confidence. Surgeons really do operate on hypnotised patients. Read more here.

Will it work for me?
Most people can be hypnotised and find it a pleasant experience, and you can't be hypnotised against your will.

Hypnotherapy works by reinforcing your natural drive, enthusiasm and motivation. The cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy that I practice ensures that you think, feel and act like the person you want to be, doing the things you want to do. And very quickly, you achieve your goals and rediscover the authentic you.

It sounds simple, and it is. No mumbo jumbo. Nothing weird. In just a few sessions, you will be back in control. Hypnotherapy is a short-term solution with long-term results.Where your emotions get in the way, hypnotherapy can help.  When you have too much on and can't focus and concentrate, hypnotherapy helps. Physical problems too can be improved. Both acute and chronic pain are managed successfully with hypnosis, such as for cancer care or visiting the dentist. Before the days of ether and chloroform, hypnosis was the only method of anaesthesia. Hypnotherapy works when other treatments have failed for irritable bowel syndrome and NICE recommends it.
